Game on!
The Boomerang 8 has already proved to be the wing to beat in 2011. Over the winter, we've been flying around 10 protos which have consistently placed in the top 3 at most recent comps, including overall victory at the 2011 PWC Colombia.
We've made further improvements still to the final version, which will go into production at the end of March.
The main features of the Boomerang 8 are stability at speed, climbing ability and all-round comfort for this class of wing.
Our technology consists of much more than structural innovations. It's an intimate knowledge of shapes, patterns and angles honed from many years of experience at the top of the competition scene. All of our knowledge of 3 liners is applicable to the new breed of 2 liners. We know how to make wings go faster without going bang.
The Boomerang 8 climbs like nothing else. It gives feedback that makes it easy to follow lifty lines and it auto-centres in thermals, leaving your mind free to concentrate on the task at hand. Its ability to crank into rough or broken thermals might save your day if you end up low, due in part to the high arc design. It also turns efficiently when you're higher up.
Compared to the proto that won in Colombia, we have made a number of improvements. Take off is now easier, climbing performance improved, handling tuned, and the minimum speed is lower, giving a wider speed range.
The Boomerang 8 is fully compliant with the latest CIVL rules on 23G line strengths and is made from reassuringly strong and durable materials. We are confident that the Boomerang 8 has what it takes to put you on top of the World, the rest is up to you.
